Thin Lizzy “Jailbreak” Sunday Review for Pitchfork
Objective
Every Sunday, Pitchfork publishes a lengthy, in-depth review of an archival album. In January 2021, I was asked to write about the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak" album (it's the one with "The Boys Are Back in Town" on it). This is currently one of the highest-profile assignments available to music critics, and I leaned heavily on my research, analytical, and wordsmithing skills to do justice to the project and the album itself.
